Volunteer and event-staff coordination across Anthropos Events - powering Origin Festival UK, the VCO, and our wider programme. Register your interest once; whenever an event or build needs hands and your skills fit a role, we will be in touch.

What to expect

A friendly, inclusive team environment with full training and support provided.
Shifts typically last 6 to 8 hours, with plenty of time to enjoy the festival around your commitments. If we hit our applicant target ahead of the deadline, we may shorten shifts so the rota is comfortable for everyone.
Free entry to the event you crew, meals on shift, and access to a dedicated crew camping area.
Improved facilities and processes to support volunteers across Anthropos Events, Origin Festival UK and the VCO.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Anthropos Events. Volunteers are the heart of everything we run - from Origin Festival UK to the VCO - and we are excited to welcome you to the team.

Important information

You must be 18 or over by the start of the festival.
A pre-event online (Zoom) training session may be required, especially if you are unable to attend an on-site induction in person.
Arrival and on-site induction times are confirmed for each event or build once you are accepted.
An on-site induction is mandatory before your first shift.
Please complete all sections of the application form honestly. It helps us match you to the right role.

The application form collects, among other things, special-category data under UK GDPR Article 9 (medical information, ethnic background) and data about emergency contacts. Both controllers process this data only for the purposes of safe volunteer scheduling, on-site welfare, and emergency response.

Origin Festival UK

Anthropos Events crew help bring Origin Festival UK to life. If you would like to be part of the Origin crew, register your interest and we will match you to a role. Find out more at originfestival.co.uk.

The VCO

Beyond the events themselves, our volunteers help build and run the VCO - a flagship Anthropos Events space and build project. If you enjoy hands-on creating as much as running an event, the VCO build crew is for you.

No payment to volunteer

There is no deposit and no payment required to register your interest in volunteering with Anthropos Events, Origin Festival UK or the VCO. If you can no longer make something you have signed up for, just let the coordination team know as early as you can so we can keep the rota fair for everyone.

What happens after you apply

Your application is reviewed by the volunteer-coordination team.
If accepted, we contact you by email with induction details for the event or build you are joining.
You confirm acceptance and join the volunteer briefing channel.
We allocate roles and shifts and send you a confirmation.
